Default open .eml files

How can I open .eml files with my email client Vista Mail?
When I try linking the file to a program the usual way, I don't see "Vista
Mail" as an option...
Nor do I see Vista Mail to set as standard email client.

Vista's default mail client is Windows Mail, and the executable's name
is WinMail.exe. One wouldn't expect Win7 to be 'anticipating' WinMail
in its default mode, altho' I read somewhere that it was built into the
default Win7 and then removed to satisfy some .eu 'glitch' for MS.

Here's an article on the subject of using WinMail in Win7. He wrote an
earlier article, then a better one 3 y. later:

https://ogri.me/en/hard-soft/847-ena...ee-years-later
Enabling Windows Mail in Windows 7 - retrospective review three years
later - In the discussion of the article commenters brought up a number
of specific problems that have arisen in different editions of the
system. As a result of this discussion, some corrections and additions
have appeared, and I have the honor to present them to my readers.
