Default HP Deskjet 710C

I just purhcased a new system and had Windows XP home and
Office XP Pro installed.

My HP 710C printer is now not working, it prints the top
graphic and first three lines of the test print page and
stops.

I followed an earlier thread to delete the print driver,
unplug the printer, delete the entries for
file/server/drivers file, rebooted, reinstalled using XP
wizard and reconnected printer LPT1 port. Unfortunately,
this did not correct the problem.

Anyone have a solution?

Thanks
