Sneding a faxing

I recently purchased a Compaq 1500Ap Presario laptop with
Windows XP Home pre installed and it is fantatsic. I am
able to surf the web fine and recieve faxes fine but can
not send faxes at all. I have tried all I can to make it
work but it has me stumped, nor can I re-send a fax as
this option is always greyed out. Any thoughts hints or
help would be mighty appreciated.
