Test page failed to print... xp to 2000 network

2 machines networked one with xp the other with 2000-
the 2000 computer has hp photosmart 7150 using usb shared
as HP-
I have installed the printer via the newtork onto the xp
machine and it shows "Status Ready" cool?-

When I print a test page from the xp it gives me a "Test
page failed to print...."

please help us obi wan... you're our only help
