Default WINDOWS LIVE MESSEGER

I have Windows Vista on a Acer Laptop. Last week, I started having a big
problem where Data Execution Prevention keeps closing my winows live
messenger. I did a complete deletion and reinstall of my windows live but it
did not help. It make my computer screen change colors and not show a lot of
icons every time the messenger tries to open. I don't know what else I can
do.

Greetings Jitter,

This is a known issue on Acer machines. The culprit is the Acer eDataSecurity software.
Just uninstall it from Programs and Features in the Control Panel and you should be good to
go.

I know this isn't much help but, there was a similar problem like
that on here earlier and she fixed it with an acer patch, I'm sorry I have
no idea which patch, but it was a patch. Maybe you could look up acer
patched for that particular problem.

Greetings trajce,

The webcam feature has been removed. If you downgrade back to the previous version, you can
get it back.

I've been meaning to write up an article on downgrading, so I'll link that to this thread
when I get it done.
