Default HP Scanjet 6350cse/6270a and XP pro

Used this scanner with earlier versions of Windows with
out a problem. With XP pro seem occasionally get
a "Scanner Not Found" error and have to restart to get it
to work again. Event viewer shows a problem with
scsiscan.sys. (using an Adaptec 2930cu)

Appears possibly to be a problem with the HPlamp (energy
star/fastscan power settings for PrecisionScan 1.02) Need
to watch it more closely, but if set to Energy Star, which
shuts down the lamp after 10 mins of inactivity, the error
occurs quicker. When set to Fastscan, which shuts down
the lamp after 10 hrs of inactivity the error occurs
around that time, or so it appears -

Anyone using this scanner with XP and experienceing any
similar problems.

Thanks

Go to Hp support and get Hp Precision scan version 2.03 for Windows Xp
plus new driver for Windows XP. I have used this version with no
problems on this scanner.

Cool, always wanted a later version of PrecisionScan - The
scanner is actually a 6250cse -

Did some other things with the LAMP settings. Waiting to
see if they had any affect.
