you can not format the c:\ drive that has win 2k on it.
win xp needs some of the files on the root directory. you can however delete all of the folders on the c:\ drive (ie winnt, program files, ect) and then use the c:\ drive as a regular HD for storing files. nuts -----Original Message----- I am running win2000 on a 10 gb primary master, and winxp on a 60gb primary slave (dual boot system). I would like to reformat the 10 gb drive and use it for backup and storage, without an operating system. Will winxp still boot after I do this? Do I have to make changes in boot.ini? . |
