UAC messages
Every time I start Firefox I get one of those annoying UAC messages
asking if I want Java runtime to "change my computer" or some-such. Well, yes, I do. But I can't find a way of allowing specific programs on a permanent basis - can anybody help? On the same subject; when UAC dims the screen and puts up the Java message a small toolbar appears top right offering "correction". Don't like to mess with this until I know what it might correct...any info please? |

Don't like to mess with this until I know what it might correct...any info please? I saw that language toolbar bar during a UAC prompt for the first time today on a friend's computer. It was because there were two keyboards installed, a UK one and a US one. I removed the US keyboard and no more language bar pop-ups. Control Panel Clock, Language and Region Region and Language. Click on the Keyboards and Languages tab. Click on 'Change keyboards... '. Remove the extra keyboards you don't use to leave just one. ( If you do use other languages then leave it alone.) |
