UAC and Firefox
In an earlier thread someone posted that they were having a problem when
starting Firefox. I'm having the same problem and can't seem to get if fixed. Unless I have the UAC set to "Never Notify" I always get a message asking if I want "Java(TM) SE Runtime etc" to make changes to this computer. In the earlier thread the solution posted was to de-select "Run as Administrator" I tried that and still have the same problem. I've tried it with my account set as Administrator and Standard User. As standard user I have to type in an Admin PW to even start the program. Any ideas on how to start FF without this problem occurring? -- "To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." Know this sounds silly but have you uninstalled Firefox, restarted and re-downloaded and re-installed Firefox? -- (swap a mouse for a house to email) Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing. - Albert Einstein |
