Default Reminder function in Works Calendar

When I had Windows 98, if I set a reminder in the
calendar it would show up when I turned on the computer.
With XP I can't get it to do that. I have to open the
calendar and then it will appear. I'm new at this, but I
can't find a way to set the calendar so the reminders
will show up when I start the computer. I depend a great
deal on these reminders and would like them to pop up
when I turn on the computer. How do I set the reminders
to appear, or is it even possible with XP. ANY HELP WILL
BE APPRECIATED. THANKS.

Add a shortcut to the works calender in your startup folder.
You need to find the calender executible *.exe, right click, creat shortcut
(start programs startup)
you can get to that folder by right clicking the start button, explore
better yet:
I can't remember, but the works calender should have an option to 'start
when windows starts' which will put a shortcut into that startup folder for
you.

If you boot up at the same time everyday set it for that
time. If you're late it should come up when you do boot
up. You can also make a shortcut so one click gets the
calendar for you from the desktop. Start Programs MS
Works RIGHT click "Calendar" Send To Desktop.
