Default Trackball Optical Mouse Acting WEIRD!

Hi the
I have a Trackball Optical Mouse on my XP system. Its
really weird. When I shut off the computer and start it
up again, the left and right buttons reverse their
defaults, so the left button switches to right button
commands and the right button switches to left button
commands! I have to go into control panel and mouse
controls every time and when I do that it resets itself.
Does anyone know how I can correct a problem that happens
every time I switch on the computer without having to
adjust it each time? The mouse help menu doesn't see that
I have a problem. Hope someone can help. Please email me
at .
Thanks,

I do use the same device without problems here. You may want to reset
the mouse and the drivers: uninstall the IntelliPoint software and if
possible connect a standard mouse instead of the trackball. Get the
jv16 Power Tools (http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/index.php) to scan the
Registry for leftovers to the device and the driver software and
remove them. Restart Windows, reinstall the IntelliPoint software and
re-connect the trackball.
