Disk cleanup problem
Hate to bother everyone again, but I have had this problem with Disk Cleanup
for almost ever. Everytime I run the program, it says compressing files, and shows three little bars in the progress indicator, but doesn't do anything. It does say that this may take a few minutes, but 8 hours later, it was still doing the same thing, so I ran Task Manager and terminated it, then had to kill the cleanmgr.exe process cause it started eating away on my processor (99%). I deleted the file, then XP said that a file was missing and asked for the CD to re-install itself. I then re-ran it and again, it started up, and said Compress Old Files and had 3 bars in the progress meter and stayed there. Are there any flags I can use from the RUN to make it skip this section, or do I just have to empty my temp and temporary internet files manual? Thanks for any help Luke |
