Default re no cd-rom drivers installed

refer http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;
[ln];314060. even though you may not have uninstalled easy
CD creator, do the steps that this doc outlines.

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware.
The driver may be corrupted. (Code 39)

Copied from my notes:-
The driver is missing or corrupted, or is in conflict

with
another driver. Look for an updated driver or reinstall
the current driver. If the device worked previously, use
System Restore to roll back to a working configuration.

P&P will install the cd-rom but says there is a problem.
it says the device driver is either missing or

corrupted.
(code 39.
How do I resolve this problem? I have remived the
hardware several times and the P&P reinstalls it with

the
same problem each time. I have downloaded the latest
driver updates from microsoft but this didnot help

either.
