HDs configuration
This is just a question on my configuration that I have
on my system that I'm installing. I have 2 HDs, a DVD-ROM and a CD-RW. I have the OS HD as the master and the CD-RW as the slave on the Primary cable. On the secondary cable, I have the second HD as the master and the DVD-ROM as the slave. Is this configuration ok? Due to, whatever reason, problems installing my new Burner, this is the only configuration that I could get all the devices to be reconized by my BIOS at boot-up. I think I could switch the two CD drives to have the burner on the secondary cable and DVD on the primary. However, I usually burn the videos and music from the secondary HD, so I figured this would be the optimal configuration. What are your thoughts on this? |

It is advantageous to have the burner and the disk that feeds it on separate IDE channels. -- wrmst rgrds Robin Bignall Remote Hertfordshire England http://homepage.ntlworld.com/docrobin/homepage.htm |

HDs configuration
if you don't have a problem with it, and your system does not appear to have
a problem with it, you do not have a problem.. "David" wrote in message ... This is just a question on my configuration that I have on my system that I'm installing.
