Animated Gif files not animated in W7
In XP when I clicked on a saved animated Gif, it showed the animation in
Preview. In Windows 7 this doesn't happen, the Gif is static. Am I having a senior moment? Is there a secret to getting those Gifs to move as they used to? Grenou |

I was thinking that's why Html don't show as Thumbs and images are missing in the preview. |

I've Googled a bit and it's the Active Desktop that was deemed a security risk, and animated gifs were collateral damage! http://www.technologyquestions.com/t...ated-gifs.html |

They didn't resolve it. I wonder what the 'third party' program was. I like making animated birthday greetings, they're a lot of work, but fun to do. Perhaps Microsoft don't agree with people using their computers for fun. I now have a folder full of static Gifs, grr. I'd better get Goggling too. Thanks Dave. Grenou |

GIF's should work if you associate them with Windows Photo viewer otherwise http://www.irfanview.com/ |

Thanks Dave. Grenou I have downloaded Irfanview and have all .gif open with that.
