Starter vs Home Premium
I will be buying a netbook with Win 7 Starter as the standard operating
system. I would like to set-up a home network with my Vista desktop (I'll be upgrading the desktop to Home Premium). I've heard that most of the Starter edition restrictions are cosmetic. Is there a difference that would affect home networking? Thanks in advance... Bob |

Bob Not really, unless joining a domain or using remote desktop to terminal service into other home machines is a critical part of your home network habits. I tend to use it to access my main home systems from my laptop and netbook from work to access personal files and work securely and privately away from home without storing them on my portables. |
