XP home and professional
I have XPhome currently on my computer. This is the
easiest office product to navigate in and I really like it. I want to use my computer for business purposes because I cant afford to get another right now. But my question is if I purchased XP Pro, can I run them together on same computer? It is to my understanding that XPpro has same as Home but more things geared for business. Please help this is been on my mind for awhile and need a computer for work ASAP. Thanks Chris |

Chris;
The main differences between Home and Pro are additional security and ability to join a domain. Most homes and small businesses have no need for Pro. Only you know your specific situation. Follow this link for differences between Windows XP Home and Pro: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...y/choosing.asp -- Jupiter Jones An easier way to read newsgroup messages: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...oups/setup.asp Please respond to newsgroup only for everyone's benefit. Chris, if your hard drive is big enough, you can run a dual boot setup, to
have both versions on the same computer. You choose which one to work in during boot up. A 3rd party partition program such as Partition Magic is easier to work with and you can create or delete partitions without losing any installed programs. Boot Magic, which is part of the Partition Magic program will give you a menu during startup to select between 4 or more different programs, like some who also keep Windows 98SE and WindowsME on the same machine for playing games etc. Jerry "Chris A" wrote in message ... Thanks Chris 'Easiest Office product'? Home is an operating system, not an Office version. There are no Office applications included in any version of Windows. -- Cassandra Card carrying member of the Fresh Start Club 'The Undead Are People Too!' Reply address is fake.
