Default Cannot capture video with TI Firewire

I am using a Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE1394
Host Controller on a IBM Thinkpad laptop installed with
WinXP Professional. I tried to use MovieMaker (and Vegas
Video) with a Sony MiniDV digital camcorder, but I am
unable to capture the video. I can sometimes play the
video, but most of the time the first frame comes half
corrupted (or mixed with other frames), and the picture
remains frozen. The tape is playing without any problems,
and I can see the tape time moving forward on
MovieMaker/Vegas Video capture window.

I have used this same setup in the past on this very
laptop, when I had Windows2000 Professional version on
it. And I have verified on a different Win2000 computer
that the card and the whole setup works. The only change
on my laptop has been this recent installation of Windows
XP Professional on it. So it looks like it is some driver
problem on WindowsXP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
