geforce4 mx440

I have a friend who has trouble with his as well. I am
pulling my hair out trying to figure out what is wrong. I
cannot get windows to boot when I install the latest
drivers from Nvidia......PLEASE anybody out there with a
fix reply .

Hi, I am not sure if you are having the same problem as
me, but I also have the same video card, and I had
distortion on my screen, but I didn't black out or
anything. I fixed my problem by uninstalling sun
microsystems java app. that was what did it to my
computer. I just uninstalled it and got the microsoft
java virtual machine. I have not had any problems
since.
Maybe that will fix yours too.

Locate yourself a nVida Video Card hack Util. XP seems to lock in settings
in the OS and these utils will allow you to tweak your card to your liking.

Also, make sure you have the most up to date drivers from nVida!
