Default ICF - Enable port range

Need to enable a large port range for XP SP2 firewall WITH exception for
corporate LAN subnet. I see how to do this based on single ports or
applications, but is there any wildcard or method to reference a large range
of ports? Thanks!

Hi

No, this is not supported for the SP2 firewall.

I guess you could create a script that feeds the ports one
by one to netsh.exe.

The netsh.exe syntax is documented in WF_XPSP2.doc.

WF_XPSP2.doc "Deploying Windows Firewall Settings for Microsoft
Windows XP with Service Pack 2" is downloadable from

Why do you need a large port range?
