Default Taskbar No Longer Displays Active Programs

While installing some software or while using the
language toolbar (not sure when or where), the operation
of my Taskbar has become corrupted. Basically, it
no longer displays icons/rectangles for active programs.
Details:
Taskbar still appears if 'Quick Launch' enabled.
Quick Launch and Notification Area work fine.
Resizing/moving Taskbar work fine.
Enabling/Disabling other Taskbars (i.e. Address, Links,
etc.) works fine.
Taskbar corrupted just for me, others users are fine..
But, if I open any programs, doesn't matter how many, they
do not appear on the Taskbar. If I minimize all programs,
Taskbar is empty and I have to use ALT-Tab to cycle thru
running programs. Programs run fine and everything boots
fine. I suspect some "registry" setting.. Any Ideas

Never heard of this but a possible quick solution would
be to rename your current profile while logged in as a
different admin, then log in as you to create a new one.
Of course you'll have to copy over your documents and
other items. Like you said, something probably got
corrupt. That should work especially considering other
users are just fine.
