Default New motherboard showing new error message while burning DVDs

I just installed a new ASUS K8V-X board, then re-loaded XP Pro. Everything
is working okay, except when I am burning a DVD using Nero (CDs and data
DVDs seem to burn okay- for now). I get an error message box that sez:

OS: Windows XP Professional, SP2
CPU: AuthenticAMD, AMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 2800+, MMX @ 1800 MHz

Application data:
VmVyc2lvbjogVVVKZFExQlRWbHRFVFVOSFF5c29PU2M1QndBNk pUOCt
MVzk3WjJOck1DRWpQeU1rTTBGeGVIQjBaWE01DQpJbWFnZUJhc 2U6ID[, etc.]

The data is about 40 lines long and refers to God knows what.
There is an option at the bottom of the little box to submit the above
report, but the report won't go. Even if I am on-line and the packets are
coming and going without a problem, I still can't get the message out.

Of course, when I close the message box, the application (Nero) closes,
too, and I have wasted yet another blank DVD.

Does anyone recognize this, Microsoft Mystery number 4,820- or is it ASUS
mystery number one?

TIA

Are you rendering video and/or Authoring the DVD as part of the burning
process?

At what point of the process of burning does the error occur?
