Exclamation Out of Range - SO URGENT!!!!

Please help.....I had given my pc to mate who installed windows xp on it and it ran fine. When i got it home, i now have this message on screen saying Out of range, computer settings correct?

Then it does nothing.....I have tried to f8 and go to configure last settings, but doesnt seem to work.

My mate is away on holidays and I need to get access to pc.....


Please Help.....
