Default font downloading to open web sites

I just got my computer the other day, and for some reason, certain web sites
will not open. Sometimes an error message saying that fonts need to be
downloaded pops up in a window. But after saying yes, nothing happens! Help
please! Dell says that this problem is not under warranty!

You need to give us the exact text of the error message and some of the
urls for the "certain websites" with which you are having trouble. Then
someone can check them out for you and give you help.

Are these web sites in languages other than the language version of the
Windows XP you are using?
If so you need to install the fonts.
A good source of information about your computer is located right on your
computer.
Go to the Start Button and select Help and Support from the menu choices.
Then type fonts in the search box at the top of the Help and Support
console.
