Just to clarify -- I am not on router. I tried repair
option vut that did not work. Following mnessage was obtained. Following operation failed 1) Renewing IP address 2) Purging DNS Resolver Cache 3) Refreshing DHCP leases and re-registering DNS names -----Original Message----- I installed cable modem for internet. My problem is even though i have done settings for automatic TCP/IP configuration my IP address is always 0.0.0.0. using "ipconfig /renew" gives me the error message: **************** Windows IP Configuration An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection 4 : The system cannot find the file specified. ***************** Thanks in advance. You are not receiving an IP from your provider. I'd call them.
