Why? I also have two Android tablets and I can use
the Groundhog Usenet reader.


Have you tried NNTP Newsreader? I found it much easier to use than
Groundhog.

I have tried both of those news readers, and I prefer to ssh into a shell
acount and run slrn from there. But this requires a keyboard to be practical.

Yes I have and it crashes here. My understanding is it can't do offline
reading either. Is that true? Groundhog does, but you have to open it
ahead of time online. That isn't easy offline reading to me. :-(
