Default Folder options

Using WindowsXP SP2. I am trying to get all folders to display as details. I
set the view the way I want, and then I go into Tools, Folder Options, View,
and click "Apply to all folders." That works fine until I shut down or
reboot. Then the view always returns to the icon view. How can I set the
details view so that folders come up all the time as details, even when I
reboot? Thanks. --Arthur

Hi Arthur:
Click Tools Folder Options and click on View Tab.
Make sure these settings are correct:
[ ] Display Simple folder view in Explorer's Folder List
[ ] Remember each folder's view settings

Then on the Menu bar click View check Details option on the drop down
list.
Hope this what you are after.
HTH.
