Cannot See Networked Computers
One desktop hardwired to network, two laptops (1 and 2) connected wirelessly.
All with different IP addresses in the network (192.168.2.X). THEY ARE ALL CONNECTED, yet I cannot see them all from the laptops. When I go to the entire network in Windows Explorer, I can see my network, MSHOME (clever, huh) and when I'm at the desktop I can see all three computers. But at Laptop 1, I can only see Laptop 1 -- not either of the other two computers. When I'm at Laptop 2, I can see the desktop and Laptop 2, but not Laptop 1. Nevertheless, I can print from either laptop to the printer attached to the desktop, so I know they're connected. Pinging is inconsistent as well. I can ping from all three computers to the gateway, but only some of the time can I ping between Lartop 2 and the desktop, and I have never been able to ping to Laptop 1 from the Desktop. Any suggestions? |
