What free Android emulator do YOU use on Windows for running F-Droid APKs?

Not me. The only thing that matters is the ability to transfer files between various devices and my PC. This is trivial to transfer files over the local LAN from Android to Windows and vice versa. I've been doing it for years using zero software on Windows and just the one "FTP Server (Free)" open-source software on Android. Windows file explorer works fine, as does FileZilla or WinSCP freeware to transfer *anything* from or to Android and Windows over the LAN. You can even use rsync-like tools to sync your Android memory with your Windows hard disk. The idea of looking for an Android app that works on Windows sounds silly to me, considering the excess of Windows' apps that has existed for decades. VanguardLH kindly wrote up an extensive analysis of his Android tools with respect to their need on Windows, as did I in response. Other than the really free nice hourglass timers on Android, and the very easy to use free photo manipulation tools, Wi-Fi debuggers (particularly for laptops), Bluetooth OBD Scanners (for laptops), SMS/Visual Voicemail apps, police/fire scanners, and calculator widgets, I think most of the rest of the tools on my Android phone have better Windows counterparts. |
