Default Turn off Restore

My luck abruptly ended when my XP Pro computer got infected with Trojan
Horses. Using Norton Internet Security I got rid of them or so it
appeared. But it seems that the automatic Restore feature automatically
copied viruses and revived them.
Now I need to turn off Automatic Restore, but Restore tab (My
computer/Properties) shows no option to turn it off. This is said to be
the result from non-Administrator account. I installed XP with one user
and no password (blank) so that I need no key strokes at booting. I have
thought that the account I am using is still the administrator account
with all previllages.
If I am not administrator or if I am somehow no in administrator
account, please show me how I can turn off the Restore feature.
