IE8 won't install
I have a WinXP computer with all the bells and whistles and pretty much a
standard configuration, but Mivrosoft keeps trying to install IE8, goes through all the downloading and installation and then says that the installation was unsuccessful. I use Fire fox, so it isn't a big deal, ust curious as to why it is happening. IE7 installed OK some time back. TRCSr

Hi there, try the IE Newsgroup. There could be many reasons why it has
failed. Please give as much detail as possible and also advise what Windows version you're using as they also deal with Windows 7 and Vista.
