Default winxp slow (initial) connection to network server folders

Client station = Winxp, Server = WinNT and Win2000. All our current client
win2000 connects to server folders in less than 2 seconds. I recently
installed 2 new Win XP clients onto our TCP/IP Domain network and their
initial connections to network server folders take up to 30 seconds.
Subsequent connections to the same network folder seems ok. All other
existing Win2000 clients are still ok. Anything I can do to speed up these 2
WinXP client (and probably all other future winXP clients) initial
connections to network folders?
