Default Stopping MSN Explorer from popping up every day

Is there any way to stop MSN Explorer from popping up every day? I'd like
to do it without running it. I don't want to encourage it.

Using XP.

TIA

Popup? Does that mean some dialog appears as a popup, or is the program
loading to show its window? What does the dialog say, or what does the
web page say?

Is it showing a web page (other than a home page configured in its
settings), or is it a blank page (although it might have that quick
links feature showing recent sites)? If it is showing a non-home page,
probably you installed some software that runs on Windows startup or on
login that added a startup program to point to their URL.

Use msconfig.exe or SysInternals' AutoRuns to see the list of startup
programs. AutoRuns includes way more startup locations, like the Task
Scheduler or WinLogon events.

Not sure how to describe it. A big display inviting me why I should start
running MSN Explorer as my browser.

Ken,

Is there any way to stop MSN Explorer from popping up every day?
I'd like to do it without running it. I don't want to encourage it.

You could try to un-install it.

Start - settings - Control panel - Add or remove programs - Add/remove
windows components (third big icon on left). In the following dialog untick
"MSN Explorer" and press the "next" button"

Take a screenshot, paste into Paint to save to a file, and upload to
online storage (e.g., Imgur) to give a URL, so others can see it.

Are you an MSN subscriber? MSN Explorer wraps around a web browser
(Internet Explorer) to provide an integrated web-centric experience with
MSN services (Hotmail, Instant Messenger, etc).
