Default Lost Scanner!

After doing a system restore my scanner disappeared. I reinstalled it , the
drivers and the software. When I try to scan something I get " The necessary
file could be missing or damaged or the settings are incorrect. Reinstall
the scanner driver. Scanner driver will be closed."

Then another dialog box comes up and says "Unable to open Twain source.
Please check connection, then restart Toolbox (software)."

I have tried everything I can and I would appreciate some ideas for a
remedy. Thanks
JCW

Erm, everything including downloading the latest driver and TWAIN? It would
also be helpful if you told us the make and model of the scanner it would
help, you know...
