I have an integrated sound card and don't have the

After reinstall of XP you must reinstall sound driver.
You'll have to do some searching, but the driver is likely available on one of the CD's that came with your PC. 1st, read the documentation for the PC. Click Start/Run, enter Dxdiag/Sound tab, see if it tells you anything. Also, Click Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Info/Components/Sound Device. Next, using Windows Explorer, manually search the CD's provided (look for Drivers folder).
