The fact remains we just don't need PDF. What do you suggest instead? In Italy, when we do our taxes online, we use web forms. Web tax return forms automatically calculate your totals and how much you are due to pay. That wouldn't be possible with a PDF form. Why do you have to do your taxes at all? Actually many (most?) people don't have to. I can only speak for the UK, where only the self employed fill in taxes I'm retired and still have to do self assessment on line in the UK. Yes. I still do them online since I stopped working. I used to always get few quid back each year but various governments have changed things now so that, for instance, the government keeps the tax on share dividends even if you're earning less than your allowance. :-( -- Brian Gregory (in the UK). Unfortunately DOC has poor support outside of the MS Windows world. For instance OpenOffice and LibreOffice can open them but the results can be disappointing with complex documents. -- Brian Gregory (in the UK). alt.comp.os.windows-10: I haven't moved any posts. My original post was about how PDFs are not suited to forms to be filled in. You do know that there's an electronic trail of your posts, do you not? Your lies and/or confusion is documented. You clearly stated, PDF is a read only document! It is not, and everybody seems to know it but you. And that is still my point. That's what you've changed your point into in order to avoid admitting your error, I guess. Either that or you're trolling again. |
