They may be available in some Microsoft Press books, I am not sure if they
have updated to SP-2.
However it seems you actually need to buy Windows XP since apparently you
have exceeded the intended purpose of the evaluation versions.

Eval CD were not ever intended to be upgraded, slipstreamed
or have in infinite life. It has expired, died, and it is
thus time to BUY a retail CD.
The fact that you have an eval CD means that either you were
at one time a software developer for MS and you have
forgotten how to contact MS or somebody gave or sold you
software illegally.

I do hope somebody can help you.

Search the sources you used before.
Check the Microsoft Press books to see if those evaluation versions now
include SP-2.

You may need to contact Microsoft.

If you call MS or read the EULA on the CD, you'll see that
it time limited, after all, it is distributed for the
purpose of evaluation prior to purchase. Now that XP is a
well marketed retail product, the RTM version is soon to be
dropped from support, and the OEM and large corps have
finished their evaluations, the only eval versions would be
the long awaited Longhorn.

An eval version is legit for a limited time and purpose..
You can find your EULA for the installed eval version by
opening Windows Explorer/Help and clicking on the About
Windows link. On that page you'll see a link to YOUR EULA.

Dwayne,

The End User License Agreement (EULA) for Windows XP allows
for installation
to one PC per purchased license. This is irrespective of
activation or not.
If you take an existing copy of Window XP installed on a
current machine and
install it on another PC, you are in breach of the EULA.
If you require to install Windows XP on another machine you
either need to
purchase another license/copy or use one the 120-day
evaluation copies
supplied as part of other programs e.g. the 120-day eval
copy supplied as
part of a TechNet subscription

If I was a computer techie I might be earning a living. I
don't work for MS and although I support Bill Gates as a
businessman, I wish he supported the rights of the American
and other citizens around the world who have a right to keep
and bear arms. Mr. gates has spent his money to harm my
rights. But as an old geek, pilot, NRA member and American
citizen I choose to follow the law, rules and ethics as much
as possible. BTW, things only come out of my ass and you
and I really don't want to have any interaction with that.

BTW, where were you during the rest of this thread?

Why, because you were not told that it is OK to use a 120
day eval forever, for any use and you are unhappy because
your old eval copy doesn't entitle you to updates. You can
subscribe to the program and get eval copies. But you want
"free" and absolution for your sins.

BTW, I'm not an MVP, but I think they are quite useful.

i like how the responders accuse me of wrong doing. it was simple question
that should have a simple answer. if you do not have a answer then you need
not reply.

im trying to setup demo system for ppl to try out xp without them stealing
the keys ive had a few systems that had the keys stolen since there was not
activated.

but you would rather believe im doing something wrong so you keep up the
insane posts

You are doing something wrong, either re-subscribe to the
TechNet service, contact MS corporate hq and arrange a
license as an OEM, or buy retail or OEM media. Read the
EULA on the media you now have. You asked a question and
didn't like the answer, so you asked again. And again. And
you began the rudeness when the answers you got did not make
you happy.

If you are running an eval version of XP in any production environment
you will not be able to install SP2 and should get a legitimate non-
eval copy and install it. They were provided for *evaluation*, not
production use and most are time bombed
