Default audio-audio/music

I am creating a DVD using this Windows Movie Maker. I am trying to use the
audio/music for my sounds (this is when the mute button is off). When I mute
the audio and the audio/music is unmuted, I still wouldn't hear anything from
the audio/music. I narrate the timeline and drag it down to the audio/music
and I wouldn't hear anything if I mute the audio. So how do I fix it so I can
use the audio/music for my sounds instead of the audio?

Maybe Movie Maker is having a problem with your
audio file. Try converting it to .wma or .wav and
see if it improves.
