Default saving to dv camera

i can't seem to save my edited video back to my dv camera. i'm using V 2.1,
and all the cables are correctly plugged in. i get to a window that says
that disk space is being calculated, and that this process may take several
minutes. however, no progress is made and i've waited for an hour. any
ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

thanks!

There should be only one cable, which is the firewire one. If you are not
using this you won't get it to work.
