Enable Cookies To Use A web Site

Hello Again !
On visiting one web site (that I have visited before)
this morning, I got an alert off Microsoft Internet
Explorer saying "please enable cookies to use this
website". I click o.k. and get the page up but trying to
go deeper I get a page that says "This site requires
cookies and Javascript to be enabled. Missing customer ID
cookie :- ".
Now I've never seen either of these messages before this
morning and my name's not even Bernhard !
Anybody any ideas on what has happened ? My daughter (15)
and her b/friend (16) are on here quite a lot and I think
they are not 100% sure of what they're doing at times but
as a novice myself I can't say anything ! !

Control Panel/Internet Options/Pivacy tab, click on "advanced".
