I second that, A real screen that I can read without rubbing my nose on
it, Wouldn't have a smartphone, but have a 10 inch tablet that is never
used but needs a monthly battery charge, Too small to be useful.
Love my new 27 inch Asus IPS screen.

I went two counties away last Sunday, from Baltimroe to south of
Hagerstown. I had the navigation that came with my 2005 Solara, on CD
(There are newer CD's but only a little), I had my 5.5" cell phone, and
I had the paper Atlas of Washington County that I paid about $7 for 20
years ago. Maybe 9 x 12" pages, 24 of them for the county.

I like to take small roads, maybe drive along the C&O canal.

The car's navigation woudl show where I was, but there were no streets
where I was, according to it. The phone showed the road I was on as a
vague dim white line that I could only see if the sun wasn't too bright,
and with no name to the street or road, even though there were street
signs at intersections. The paper map on the other hand showed me
where I was and which way to turn. It worked better when I drove
around Hagerstown too.
