Do you see the perfect freedom I'm offering you, Char Jackson?
A. You can still use Usenet for your own personal chit-chat amusement.
B. Just avoid any thread that I care about - and you're free to troll.

You're not in a position to offer anyone freedom. It's cute that you
think otherwise. :-)

Since you seem to thrive on Usenet for your own amusement, and since you
rebel against your "right to bully others", I'm sure you'll appreciate that
I let you troll all you want in threads that I don't care about.

You seem confused. This is an alt group on Usenet. You have no power to
'let' anyone do anything. Does that surprise you?

It's so easy to predict the behavior of the three trolls (you, Frank, and
nospam) who still have a shred of decency, since none of you actually are
even the slightest bit technical (so all you *can* do, is troll).

It's much harder to predict what the three trolls who have no decency left,
such as Nil, Diesel, and GoodGuy are, since they don't care one whit about
their lack of value added.

While GoodGuy is on the corner of mental illness, it's even worse with the
clearly mentally ill such as Snit, Steve Carroll, and Petrucelli (likely
all one and the same) as, for them, the *only* solution is the killfile.

You're like the Pied Piper. As you go traveling through various
newsgroups, you attract what you call trolls. Have you wondered why that
might be?

Nonetheless, the question for this thread is, was, and shall be:
*What was your experience when you last tried to get Google to archive this ng?*

That's great, but let's get going on that potluck picnic. I've got food
going to waste here.

Actually, with the current purposefully persistent attempt at troll shaming
being somewhat successful, I think we've abated the trolls that still have

My goal was very clearly approached and my tactics devilishly simple

You forgot to mention utterly unsuccessful. Nice try, though.

such
that even the lowly trolls Frank Slootweg and Char Jackson can comprehend
what will happen each time they troll in a thread I care about.

Right. Someone says 'jump' and you jump. Simple. Repeatable.

In fact, you'll note, that the incessantly valueless trolls of the likes of
Wolf K and nospam have *subsided*

No offense intended, but your AS wears people out. Please don't try to
take credit where none is due.

(Did you notice how both Char Jackson & Frank Slootweg, as I recall, were
clearly affronted that their "right to bully and troll" is being
confronted?)

You don't say. I hadn't noticed.

Just watch, for example, to see that I am correct that the trolls Frank
Slootweg, Char Jackson, Nil, Diesel, nospam, Sam Hill, Wolf K, can never
contribute even one iota of value to any technical tutorial I post.

On your good days, you acknowledge that we've all contributed. On your
bad days, none of us have. Are you careful to take your AS medication at
the same time every day? Are you careful to take it with food?

*What was your experience when you last tried to get Google to archive this ng?*

These deviled eggs aren't getting any fresher. What's the update on the
picnic?

And picnics. Don't forget about the picnics. That would be a great
excuse to come up into the Santa Cruz hills and see some of your signs.

And the bowling! As I understand it, Mr. EMAK has volunteered that we
use the big round part of his upper body as it's clear that it doesn't
contain any valuable material.

BTW, his signs? His signs of what? Doesn't he have already enough
signs of most anything!?

He spent the better part of a year trying to figure out how to print "No
Trespassing" signs for himself and his neighbors. Apparently, the roads
up there in the SC hills are private, but since they weren't marked, it
was hard to get people to leave. He values his privacy, ya know. ;-)

Did I mention that he values his privacy? In addition, he values his
privacy, like to an extent that would be considered clinical. I almost
forgot, he also values his privacy.

He also closely watches his post count. When someone posts to one of
"his" threads, he feels the need to reply so that his post count is
never less than the sum of all of the others.

Hi Rene Lamontagne,

Some day you'll actually act like an adult in a Usenet thread.

But, apparently, not today.

Is the use of full names one of the symptoms of AS?

Hi Char, Must be AS but just as a test I will give him my full name,
That should make him **** his eyeballs out.

Don't be surprised if he starts reciting it endlessly. His AS is not
well controlled at the moment.

and did so by creating the text in powerpoint, then exporting it to
illustrator and wondering why it looked like **** and would not print
correctly, including not being able to figure out how to print a single
image split over multiple pages.

You are aware, of course, that you fit the "troll" moniker just as much as
them.

Public Git repositories are great places to build a community around a
common need.

This is good advice, where reasonable people will always differ on how to
provide value without giving up your privacy (e.g., I avoid logins like you
might avoid the bubonic plague).

You're quite right. Everyday I have to go out of my way and limit my
exposure to avoid catching the plague. Oh wait, no I don't do any of that.
I'm not living in the 14th century

Good sensible hygiene allows me to live my life without being paranoid.
That's both online and offline.

But still, the purpose of this thread is to ask for advice from people who
actually know the answer to the question, which is, was, and will be:

*What was your experience when you last tried to get Google to archive this ng?*

Sorry, I was too tongue-in-cheek. I am painfully aware of his sign
thread. I even "added technical value" to it.

Did I mention that he values his privacy? In addition, he values his
privacy, like to an extent that would be considered clinical. I almost

Did I mention that the *very way* in which he fakes/forges his headers,
makes it *trivial* for 'aggregators' - if such a thing would actually
exist - to pinpoint all his postings?

He also closely watches his post count. When someone posts to one of

Yeah, I think I noticed that.

Did you notice that his copy-and-paste responses contain quite a lot
of (non-)customization errors? Not something one would expect from
someone with AS, is it?

Well, he has a plan, and no one is going to sway him from that plan, no
matter how flawed it is. You make a valid point, though - aggregators?
He's living in a completely different time, possibly a different world.

I've suspected that he's doing copy/paste and have asked him about it,
but he's embarrassed and hasn't replied.

Hi Chris,

Never make the mistake assuming my tactics aren't part of the strategy.

My actions only *appear* to be similar to those of the inveterate trolls:
*Nil, Diesel, Slootweg, Jackson, Good Guy, nospam, Lamontagne, etc.*

Here is where your logic is infallible:
My actions do, very much, to you, appear to be the same as the trolls'.

Here is where your logic is fallible:
But I have the capacity to stop!

*Those inveterate trolls do not have the mental capacity to stop trolling.*
just watch
