The retail will be flushed and eventually repopulated with eh integrated SP2 build. This is NOT like Windows 98 Second Edition where if you want to go from Windows 98 to Windows 98 Se you had to buy it. Existing Windows XO owners can just download the SP just as they did with SP1a. The SP2 does not add additional hardware support. -- Regards, Mike -- Mike Brannigan [Microsoft] This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights Please note I cannot respond to e-mailed questions, please use these newsgroups "Mange" wrote in message ... It did so for SP1 - retail CDs bought after around the end of 2002 (by which time old stock had worked through) include SP1, and I expect the same will apply. If yes, will there be any new hardware support included? I should doubt it - though SP1 did bring in support for USB 2.0. Improved support for some existing hardware types - eg WiFi or for Tablet PCs , yes, but not new models of devices -- Alex Nichol MS MVP (Windows Technologies) Bournemouth, U.K. (remove the D8 bit) |
