Scott- I am also having startup problems but the community message was not available. My problem: system not booting from HDD, tried to start from CD (tech on phone with me) and failed, implying hardware problems. Tech could not help me out, said take it to a shop. I just put a new Maxtor HDD in because same problem finally occurred Sunday, after 3 weeks or very erratic crashes. Notice last night after loading all apps back on and jumping on net the system automatically downloaded updates from Microsoft and nowthe system crashes again.?????
