AGP2.0/AGP3.0
I am running Windows XP Pro service pack 3. Every time I start my system up
and log in I get a "New Hardware Found" bubble containing the message "VIA CPU to AGP2.0/AGP3.0". Could someone tell me why? |

Without knowing more about your system, I would hazard a guess that you would need to upgrade either a motherboard driver, or a video driver. Open the hardware manager (right click on the My Computer Icon, select properties, then click on the hardware tab). Does anything show a yellow triangle with an exclamation point? -- Roy Smith |

This message appears to be caused by the AGP slot on the motherboard. Sometime has change and you should install / re-install VIA chipset / AGP slot drivers. Locate the VIA Hyperion drivers. |

Ok Roy I followed your directions and there are no yellow triangles. What should I do next. "Roy Smith" wrote: "wimberley2001" wrote in message ... I am running Windows XP Pro service pack 3. Where can I find the driver? http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=2 Select the OS, then "Chipset or Platform driver" Look for your chipset in the two download options offered. It could be you'll be using "VIA Hyperion Pro Driver Package" To see what chipset is on your motherboard, under Windows you can run CPUZ. The download is in the upper left hand corner. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php See the "Mainboard" tab for details on the chipset. In this sample screenshot, the chips is SIS662. Yours will be a VIA chipset. http://images.snapfiles.com/screenfiles/cpuz3.gif HTH, Paul "smlunatick" wrote: On Nov 29, 10:25 pm, wimberley2001 wrote: I am running Windows XP Pro service pack 3.
