every time i load up my computer it starts like normal then says something
about "we apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. a recent hardware or software change mite of caused this." then it gives me 5 choices of things to do 1)safe mode 2)safe mode with networking 3)safe mode with command prompt 4)last known good config 5)start windows normally i have tried all of these options repeatedly but each one just restarts the computer and makes me go through the option again. any ideas for this would be great. |

Computer keeps looping the start up screen HELP!!
Right after your BIOS loads press F8 until you see a screen with options like
you just described. You should see an option to "disable automatic restart" and select that. Try resetting to last known good configuration after that. If you can actually boot into safemode then go right to device manager (start run devmgmt.msc enter) and lok for a yellow icon and uninstall it then reboot. You should be getting an error message somewhere, maybe a BSOD? youll have ot look up the error code or any other info it provided, if nothing else you might have to boot into the Windows CD and do a repair... good luck. -- Brandon Dub.'' Computer keeps looping the start up screen HELP!!
How will that help if the problem has nothing to do with the issues
those commands are intended to fix? -- Gerry ~~~~ FCA Stourport, England Enquire, plan and execute ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ you should boot up with a windows cd and log into the repair/recovery console. then run the commands at the disk prompt: chkdsk fixboot bootcfg /rebuild fixmbr then exit and try to boot again w/o the cd.
