Default A bootlog analyzer for Windows XP?

Hello.

What's a good bootlog analyzer to see what is taking so long to boot up
my old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3? It boots up fast in safe mode, but
not in regular mode. I notice the HDD light is intense during the long
wait. Task Manager shows no user names for processes (e.g., system,
....service), but will come up later. And yes, I scanned for malwares but
none were found. Even though the long startup, everything else is fine.

Thank you in advance.

You mean boot sequence analyzer, bootlegs are illegally pirated copies
of disks.

Download BootVis 1.3.37.0 Free - BootVis - Microsoft tool to provide

BootVis does not work with SP3. Now there is the
Microsoft Windows Performance Toolkit:
http://techie-buzz.com/tips-and-tric...mance-wpt.html

You can analyze XP too but for seeing the results
you need Vista or higher.

How did you come up with "bootleg" when he was asking about "bootlog"?

I've used it under SP3 with no problems.

Default A bootlog analyzer for Windows XP?

Last night, I used MS' old Bootvis v1.3.37.0 (is that the latest?) and
it was good. However, I am still confused what is causing the long disk
access and wait. I also notice this long disk access at XP's login
screen before logging in so it is not the startup programs. If I am
reading this analysis correctly, there are unknown drivers too. I also
noticed if I wait a minute or more before logging in, then my desktop
starts up fast. It's like prebuffering (prefetching?) or something?
http://i.imgur.com/EEWXh.gif for the screen shot (had to hide Boot and
Resume Activities since they showed nothing).

Do you get an event in your Event Viewer that says, "Custom dynamic link
libraries are being loaded for every application"?

Oh well, too bad, I've found that this problem has caused unexplained
bootup delays in the past for me.
