Hi,
Currently on SP2 via windows update. I believe the current problems are linked to a failed re-install of XP so whenever i start up I get a pop up suggesting that the pc is trying to complet the re-install. The pop up is a status box and says "the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removab;le daisk that is not available - Insert the status disk and click okay" I do that but then run into the problem that I can see the files it is looking for but it can't in the I386 folder. Will try the troubleshoot link you gave me. Thanks, Doug -- thanks, doug "PA Bear [MS MVP]" wrote: Are you currently running WinXP SP1 or WinXP SP2?
