Ok, one last thing you can do. See if you can copy the i386 folder from the
CD to the hard drive then tell the computer to finish the installation from there. If you can copy the files from the CD then you are probably ok, if not then your CD or CD drive may be bad. Had occasion to repair by pc using the CD. All going well and then it says it can't find circa. 75 files in \I386. Browsed and I could see them but not recognised by pc. Tried copying them to desktop but still no joy. Now Installer always running so can't install anything new and task manager also missing! Any ideas? -- thanks, doug |
