Recover Single File?
Is there any way to recover a single, completely deleted file - when my
system restore was suspended for lack of space? Bill

system restore only restores
certain files that are dedicated to the system. but regular files would not be restored. however, there is a freeware called "recuva" and it will scan your entire disk of deleted files that are flagged for overwriting by the o.s., if it needs the space those files are occupying. carefully review the results and then select the file you want to recover. -- db·´¯`·...¸)))º DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces "groupb" wrote in message ... Recover Single File?
Google for Recuva (freeware). If possible, you should download it on another
machine and install it on that machine then copy the the Recuva folder to a flash drive and run it from there. You don't want to overwrite the space used by the file you're trying to recover. After resolving this problem, review your current philosophy about regularly backing up important files to an independent medium such as an external USB disk (which must NOT be connected to your PC for most of the time!).
